Steele Files for Open Seat in 84th House District

Fitz Steele, business owner from Hazard announced his candidacy for State Representative in the democratic primary for Kentucky's 84th House District. The 84th House District includes Perry county and 13 precincts in Harlan County.

Steele, 42 years old, husband and father of three announced his candidacy for open house seat saying, "It's time to put an end to the bickering in Frankfort and go to work for the people. I will work with our new Governor and Lt. Governor to serve the working families of Harlan and Perry counties and find new approaches to solve the challenges we all face."

Steele has participated in many community civic organizations including:

*Board Member East Kentucky River Regional Jail

*President, Buckhorn Scenic Trails Association

*Co-chair, Hazard Daniel Boone Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation
